About me

I'm an award-winning writer, editor and content director, and have spent a decade working with the UK's best media and consumer brands.

A next-gen publishing specialist, I've run digital at Esquire and Men's Health, taking both to record traffic and revenues. My writing has also been published in (*deep breath*) GQ, Wired, The Economist's 1843 Magazine, The Guardian, Shortlist, The Times, Mr Porter, Highsnobiety, Resident Advisor and Red Bulletin, plus too many others to list without getting light-headed.

In the commercial world, I've run all content operations at £200m-a-year food tech business Huel, encompassing everything from SEO strategy to CRM to internationalisation, and Thread, a fashion tech start-up acquired by M&S.

I've put my knowledge of how content that compels becomes content that sells to work for brands including British Airways, Nike, Zegna, British Gas, Clark's, Audi, River Island, Volvo, Facebook, and Boiler Room. I've crafted complete content strategies for the likes of Sproud and Harry's of London, covering everything from tone-of-voice to social calendars, and provided media consultancy to leading fashion houses, luxury whisky distilleries, upstart CBD brands and everywhere in between.

So, whether you need 8,000 words on planet-saving science or SEO copy that gets you new customers in Japan, I can help. Please do drop me a line on banham.tom@gmail.com.
